envii by event

Igår var jeg til Envii By event her i Århus. Der var lancering af de nye blogger kollektioner fra Trine's Wardrobe og Sofies blog. Det var først til mølle invitationer, og jeg var så heldig/hurtig at sige ja tak. Jeg er i forvejen fan af Envii, så tænkte at det kunne være spændende at se lidt nyt. Eventet blev afholdt i Samsø Samsø butikken i centrum og der var pakket med shoppe-glade piger. Der var lækre forfriskninger, 25% på alt fra kollektionerne og goodiebags. Hvad mere kan man ønske sig? :) Der var helt sikkert nogle interessante items, også selvom det meste ikke lige var min stil. Jeg faldt dog for den fine sweat-buksedragt inden jeg overhovedet kom ind i butikken, så den kom med hjem.

Til dem der ikke var klar over det, så blev der i nat afholdt Golden Globe Awards i L.A. Danmark var faktisk så heldige at vinde prisen for Bedste ikke-engelsksprogede film med Suzanna Bier's Hævnen, så tillykke med det! Jeg har kigget lidt på den røde løber efter hvad de kendte havde på, og jeg må sige, at jeg er overrasket over, hvor dårlige de er til at klæde sig?! Eller er det bare mig som synes det? Jeg føler lidt, at de prøver alt for meget med storslåede kjoler, der bare ender med at se helt forfærdelige ud på dem. Her er mit bud på de bedst klædte kvinder, Scarlett Johansson og Leighton Meester. Jeg vil også gerne inkludere Carrie Underwood, som kan ses her (den kjole gad jeg godt at eje!). De har alle tre et enkelt, stilet og smukt look, og sjovt nok også det samme farvevalg af kjoler. De har valgt nogle kjoler, der passer til deres former og derfor ikke ser akavet ud, som mange andre. Hvad synes I om kjolerne og de andre kendte på den røde løber?

In case you didn't know the Golden Globe Awards was hold last night in L.A. Denmark actually won for Best Foreign Language Film with In A Bette World by Suzanne Bier! Anyway, I've had a look at the fashion on the Red Carpet and I must say I'm disappointed. There are so many awful dresses or many wrong choices. Maybe it's just me, but I really think some are trying to hard, and it ends up in disaster looks! Here are my favourite looks of the night, Scarlett Johansson and Leighton Meester. I would like to include Carrie Underwood too (I would love that dress myself!). They have all picked very simple, stylish and beautiful looks and all the same colour. They have picked dresses that fit their bodies and don't look awkward on them. What do you think of the dresses and the other celebs on the the Red Carpet?

Winter day & night wear

Jeg har fundet et par ting fra Topshops online shop og sat dem sammen til et dag-outfit og et aften-outfit. Det ville være det perfekte tøj at have til i morgen. Varmt tøj til om dagen, da Århus får endnu en omgang sne, og fint tøj til om aftenen da jeg skal til årets første julefrokost. Jeg er helt vild med de vinter/jule-agtige print med hjerter, rensdyr og snefnug. De er så hyggelige, især de strikkede ting. Jeg drømmer også stadig om at få et par shearling støvler.

I found a few things on Topshop's online shop and put them together for a day and an evening outfit. It would be the perfect clothes to have for tomorrow. Warm clothes for the day as we're getting more snow, and fancy clothes for the evening as I'm going to the first Christmas party of the year. I absolutely love the winter/xmas-like prints with hearts, reindeer's and snowflakes. They are so cute, especially the knitted things. I also still dream about getting a pair of shearling boots.

Last weeks Project Runway favourite

Andy's design

Jeg har været lidt bagud med mine TV-shows, men nu har jeg endelige fået set sidste uges afsnit af Project Runway. Deres udfordring var at lave et ferie outfit, med den ekstra lille udfordring at arbejde i teams og konstruere en andens designers idé. Mit yndlings outfit er helt sikkert Andy's badedragt og cover up. Designet er super lækkert, farverne er virkelig gode sammen og looket er perfekt. Jeg ville meget gerne eje sådan et sæt, og gå i det langs stranden. Simpelthen SMUKT! Jeg synes til gengæld, at Ivy's outfit var det værste, jeg længe har set. Det var enormt kedeligt og upersonligt. Jeg fatter ikke, at hun ikke blev sendt hjem. Udover at lave kedelige designs, så er hun da pænt led og irriterende. Følger I med og hvilke designere er Jeres yndlings?

I've only just managed to watch last weeks episode of Project Runway. The challenge was to design a resort wear look, with the extra challenge of working in teams and constructing some other designers idea. My favourite by far is Andy's swimsuit and cover up. I love the design, the colours look gorgeous together and the look is really beautiful! I would so love to have that outfit to wear on the beach. Absolutely amazing! I don't like Ivy's look very much, actually I think it's awful! It's really boring and impersonal. I don't get why they didn't send her home. On top of designing boring looks she's really bossy, mean and annoying. Do you follow the show and which designers do you like?

Marc Jacobs to Aarhus

Der er gode nyheder til alle Marc Jacobs fans i Aarhus og omegn. Der åbner nemlig en Marc by Marc Jacobs butik inden længe. På vinduerne til butikken står der august. Den kommer til at ligge på hjørnet af Volden og Pustervig. Jeg skal helt sikkert ind forbi når den åbner. Ikke at jeg har råd til noget af det... Men skal da lige kigge på de fine sager.

Project Runway season 8

Så er der under en uge til den nye sæson af Project Runway starter, nemlig torsdag i næste uge! Det skal nok blive godt, jeg glæder mig i hvert fald til at følge med hver uge! Har manglet lidt at følge med i på det seneste, så det er helt perfekt timing. Du kan læse mere om den nye sæson og se designerne her.

Is it just a crush..?

Eller bliver jeg snart nødt til at købe denne blazer?! Har nu gået og kigget på denne fine lace blazer fra Miss Selfridge i over en måned... Havde den også på min se-nærmere-på-liste, da jeg var i England. Desværre havde de den ikke i butikkerne der over. Prisen er faktisk ikke så slem, dog dyr nok for en fattig studerende. Håbede lidt på, at de ville have den med i deres udsalg, men desværre ikke. Udover prisen, så er jeg også lidt bange for, at jeg ikke kommer til at bruge den nok. Det kan jo være, at det bare er en af de ting man får et crush on, og som man så ret hurtigt kommer over efter, at man har købt den. Men hvor er jeg altså ret vild med den lige nu!! Ville dog ønske, at de stadig havde den i hvid/creme, ville passe til lidt mere. Havde jeg pengene, var den dog nok kommet i kurven, suk!

Or do I need to buy this blazer from Miss Selfridge?! I've been looking at it for ages, but I can't make up my mind about it. Wish it was a little cheaper and in white too! But isn't it just pretty?

Jeg rejser en uge til England på lørdag, og er derfor gået igang med at lede efter lidt ting, som jeg vil kigge nærmere på, når jeg er der over. Jeg er bl.a. faldet over disse to ting fra Miss Selfridge. Jeg synes, at blazeren er vildt fin og sød. Har set den i blogland i råhvid, hvilket vil være at fortrække, selvom nude også er ganske fint. Jeg synes heller ikke at prisen er så slem, ca.360 kr. hvilket er billigt for MS. Blazeren kan købes her. Jeg er ikke helt overbevist om armbåndet, tror det ville være bedre som en ring.

Found some Miss Selfridge items I'm going to have an extra look at when I'm in the UK next week. I think the blazer is really nice and cute! I've seen it in blogland in cream/white, which is my favourite, but nude could do it to! The price isn't too bad either, only £40, which is cheap for MS. Buy the blazer here. I'm not convinced about the bracelet yet, think it would work better as a ring.

Victoria's Secrets - One dress many looks!

I min søgen efter en kjole til sommerens bryllup faldt jeg over denne hos Victoria's Secrets. Synes faktisk den er meget lækker. Super smart at man kan lave så mange forskellige kjoler ud af en. Jeg ved godt at det er set før, men synes nu denne er det pæneste bud jeg har set, så den er i overvejelse pt. Ved dog ikke om den er passende til et bryllup. Har rigtig svært ved at finde den perfekte kjole. Vil helst have en smart, elegant maxi, men har kun kunne finde alt for dyre bud indtil videre. Denne er dog ikke så dyr i pris, kun $95/570 kr. Dog er der ret dyre forsendelsespriser, typisk. Se og køb kjolen her. Hvad synes I om den?

Found this dress looking around online for a dress for a wedding this summer. I think it's really smart that you can have so many looks with one dress. I know it's not a new idea, but I think it's prettier than anything else I've seen, so it's on my maybe buy list for now. Not sure if it's okay for a wedding though. I'm having a hard time finding a nice dress I can afford. This one isn't too bad though, only $95/£66, although the shipping prices are kinda crazy! You can see and buy the dress here. Is it just me or are these heels in some weird way awesomely cool?! I found them on a webpage called ModCloth when I was looking around the web and I had to take a closer look. I'm not sure the heel is my favourite, although it's a funny detail. But the ruffle-thing is fierce! I like that kind of detail on shoes, and if it wasn't for the price of $120 I would consider buying them! They are after all nude, my favourite colour this season! They seem to be quite popular though, not many sizes left on the website. If you are interested, buy them here.

Newbreed Girl Tees

I remember when I first saw some of these tees. I had a really good laugh about them. I think they are brilliant! Really funny and cute too! It's the company Newbreed Girl who's behind them. With a slogan saying: We take fun seriously! You can buy them online on their webpage or in Topshop who sells them too. They are quite pricey for t-shirts though, which is why I haven't bought any myself. But I love them! What do you think of them? Do you find them funny too?

Sex and the City 2 poster

I just found this new poster for Sex and the City 2 on a Danish news page. They were giving it quite a lot of criticism, saying that it's impossible to recognize the ladies. And to be honest I understand them. It's so easy to see that it's been photo-shopped and it's not even done very well. I think Carrie and Samantha looks kinda weird in their faces. But maybe they are suppose to, I don't know. I'm not impressed at all! What do you think of it?

Project Runway finale

Emilio

I have only just watched the finale of Project Runway season 7. I thought it was a really good fashion show over all, but I did have some favourite looks. I loved Emilio's show-stopper dress. It was very beautifully made and the airiness to it was amazing! I wouldn't mind having that myself. Maybe in a different colour and with another belt, but gorgeous dress! I also really liked two of Seth Aaron's dresses. I could see myself wearing both, very pretty and well made! I have been a fan of Seth Aaron from the beginning and was therefore also very pleased to see him win the show. He deserves it!

Looking for a summer jacket

Jacket from Asos - £65

The summer is on it's way and I've only just realised that I really need a new summer jacket. The old one I've got looks awful and it's actually over 3 years old! Last year I used my new leather jacket most of the summer, but I would really like something else this season. I prefer buying things like jackets in shops where you can try them on, but I couldn't find anything in the shopping centre earlier today, so I've had a little look online. I have found a few ones that I like, but now I don't know what to do. I really haven't got the money for it, so would be best to go for the cheapest one, but if I am honest I like the Asos one the most! Not sure with the colour though. I love nude, but for a jacket it might be too much and I bet I'll get it dirty in no time...

Project Runway

I have just watched the latest episode of this seasons Project Runway. Last five had to get down to three finalists, so very exciting. The challenge this week was to create a high end runway look inspired by the circus. My favourite designers are Emilio and Seth Aaron. I think Emilio did the best look this week though (picture below). It's not my favourite item of his, but it was better than any of the others this week. Seth's was a little too much for my taste, but he does crazy pieces most of the time. I just really like his style and he is very talented.

If only...

...I had the money! I really love this dress! I've been eyeing it for some time now. Unfortunately I can't afford it at the moment. I'm praying that nobody is going to buy it for the next three months and if I'm lucky it can be a birthday present. I doubt it though :( I have a thing for Lipsy's Grecian dresses, they are just so beautiful. It's really killing me to look at their website! The dresses are just a bit too expensive for me. But one day I might be lucky enough to get a Lipsy dress, I really hope so! This one is from Asos and costs £60 like most of their dresses.

Last summers fashion

There's finally signs of spring being on it's way, thank god! Been waiting for that for sooo long! It's been a very long winter this year so I'm really looking forward to the summer! And I know I'm not the only one!

Just had a little look through my pictures from last summer. I like looking at pictures, so many good memories. Anyway, I decided to take some of my outfits to show you guys. It's very easy to see what was in last summer. Here is 6 outfits that I've picked to show you.

Sorry that the pictures are that small, but for some reason it wouldn't change it. Hope you can still see it okay. If you wanna know anything about the clothes just ask. Dresses are from Jane Norman, Zara, Oasis and Republic.

As you can probably see coral was very in last summer and I loved it! Such a beautiful summer colour! Bought quite a few dresses in that colour. Other things that also was very in was gladiator sandals, leather jackets and the sailor look (blue/white stripy). This year pastel colours are gonna be very popular, especially nude and mint. I am already a really big fan of nude, I just need a tan to wear it I think. I have already bought a few nude things, I'll show you later. The sailor look still seems to be in this summer too so I can use some of my things from last year. I love the casual stripy top I'm wearing on one of the pictures, so that's perfect!

Next weeks listings on ebay!

I'm gonna have a little sale on ebay starting monday next week. I've for some time now had a few things i've been thinking about selling, but I just haven't got around to it, until now! I'm kinda tired of having nice shoes and clothes lying around when I can't use it anyway. So why not try and sell it instead? I'm therefore putting these two pairs of shoes up for auction.

Black New Look Sandals size 7/40 - £ 20

I bought these sandals a season or two ago in England. They are from the high street fashion brand New Look, and actually really nice. I've for some reason bought them a size too big though, and have therefore never used them. A real shame as I actually do like them.

Red Glitter Peep Toe Shoes size 6/39 (bought on ebay from aspireshoes) - £ 16.99

I fell in love with these shoes the second I saw them! I think they are absolutely gorgeous. I bought them on ebay, but they are quite small in the size so I couldn't fit a size 6, but had to buy a bigger size. Because of the expense of postage returning the shoes I decided I couldn't be bothered to, but instead i'm just gonna sell them myself.

As said these shoes will be on ebay from monday next week, but if you already now like any of them please let me know and i'll be more than happy to sell them to you before putting them on ebay, and maybe even give a little discount too. Just contact me before monday evening.

The beauty of loving a pair of shoes!

Yes, it's possible! Although probably a lady thing. We tend to fall in love with material things, hehe. But I think it's good for us, as it's a lot easier to buy than "real" love. Anyway, I was having a look around ebay the other day, what a dangerous place to be! They have got so many things, clothes, shoes, etc. and most of it to a price that you just can't resist buying things. To avoid temptations from ebay is simply just impossible!

I was actually having a look for something specific. I've got these gold glitter shoes from New Look, which are my favourite dancing shoes ever! They are pretty worn out now though, and I really regret not buying them in silver and black too! So I was having a look to see if anyone were selling any. No luck there. But then I saw this pair of red glitter shoes!! I had a closer look and knew right away I shouldn't have done that! They were absolutely gorgeous! I just couldn't believe it. I was sat there thinking about it for a while, although I knew I had to buy them. See that's what happens when you fall in love with shoes. You HAVE TO buy them, if you don't you're gonna be thinking of them for a loooong time, and really regret it. Plus as always it was a bargain from ebay!! So I bought them and they are now on their way! Can't wait to try them on!
